Here are two factors that can result in mortality during sexual activity, according to Medical News Today.

1. Cardiac Arrest

The abrupt or unexpected cessation of blood flow to the brain and other organs is known as cardiac arrest. Heart failure is one of the illnesses that might cause a person to pass away during sexual activity. This happens when a deposit of plaque (atherosclerosis) partially or completely blocks a coronary artery, obstructing blood flow to the heart muscle (myocardium). This is the case for the majority of coronary artery disease patients.

2. Taking drugs without a doctor’s prescription

Many people take medicines to enhance their performance during sexual activity without first checking with a doctor to be sure it’s safe for them to do so.There are instances where individuals even mix alcohol and opiate painkillers. Even though marijuana may be bad for their health, some people go so far as to say that they enjoy copulation when they use it.

As per Medical News Today, certain intimacy enhancers have the potential to cause hypotension, or low blood pressure, which can be lethal, when used with a nitrate-containing substance.
