Morocco, one of Nigeria’s rivals in Group B, has officially announced their squad for the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
The team’s head coach, Mohamed Ouahbi, has selected a total of 26 players for the competition.
The roster includes a mix of homegrown talents and players plying their trade abroad, such as defender Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal from Stade Rennais and centre-back Julien Misbahi of FC Twente.
Also making the list is Union Touarga forward Mouad Dahhak, who has stood out this season in the Botola Pro 1 league.
Morocco’s campaign will kick off against Kenya on Thursday, May 1.
Their second group-stage encounter will see them go up against Nigeria, a side with seven U-20 AFCON titles, on May 4.
This year’s edition of the tournament will be held in Egypt, running from April 27 to May 18.
