Posters featuring former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi have appeared on key roadways in Kaduna, fueling speculation of early political maneuvering ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The posters, which prominently feature Amaechi’s face, characterize him as “the only person to be trusted” and “the only man for the job,” with accompanying themes emphasizing unity, equality, stability, and progress.

Amaechi, whose traditional title is Dan Amanan Kasar Hausa of Daura, has previously served as Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Governor of Rivers State, and Minister of Transportation.

Residents said that the posters appeared in strategic spots around the Kaduna metropolis, including Ahmadu Bello Way, Ali Akilu Way, and areas surrounding the Kaduna State Government House and the Kawo Bridge axis leading towards Zaria.

The displays drew a lot of attention, with vehicles and pedestrians slowing down to see them, especially near Kawo Bridge, where early-morning traffic was briefly disrupted.

Although Amaechi has yet to make a formal statement, the appearance of the posters has fueled speculation about his potential return to the presidential contest.

He ran in the All Progressives Congress presidential primaries in 2022, finishing second to President Bola Tinubu.
