APC chieftain Joe Igbokwe has refuted assertions made by Babachir Lawal, the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, that northern governors will not be re-elected in 2027 unless they join the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Speaking on Trust TV, Babachir asserted that the North has been marginalized and devastated by the APC government of President Bola Tinubu.
He claims that because of the way the North has been treated under the APC, the majority of elected politicians there will have no option but to join the opposition ADC.
Igbokwe responded by calling Lawal’s message “all noise” and characterizing it as extortion in a comment on his Facebook page.
Igbokwe asserts that Lawal is powerless to prevent APC governors from being re-elected in APC.

Igbokwe asserts that Lawal is incapable of preventing the 2027 reelection of APC governors.
He wrote, “Oga blackmail will not help you. You do not have the capacity and capability to carry out what you are saying.
“It is all noise and no substance full of sound and fury signifying nothing. You will not even know when the train left the station sir.”
