2027: Kebbi PDP declares readiness to join coalition

In order to overthrow the All Progressives Congress (APC), which is now in power, both at the state and federal levels, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kebbi State has stated that it is willing to join a larger coalition.

Party officials underlined their resolve to reviving the PDP and addressing internal conflicts impeding its advancement during a stakeholders’ conference in Birnin Kebbi on Saturday.

Speaking to reporters following the meeting, state party chairman Dr. Ibrahim Mera stated that the PDP had decided to back any political coalition that could successfully oppose the APC’s hegemony. Subject to the party’s national leadership’s permission, he continued, members also decided to support the state congress’s early conduct.

Despite the current economic suffering, Mera encouraged Kebbi inhabitants to hold onto their optimism, promising that help will arrive whenever real leadership emerged.

General Aminu Bande (rtd), the PDP’s 2023 gubernatorial candidate, also addressed the event and attacked the APC-led government for making the state’s economic crisis worse.

Instead of concentrating on governance, he charged that the government was witch-hunting opposition leaders.
