Ayodele Olawande, the Minister for Youth Development, has supported Seyi, the son of President Bola Tinubu, to succeed him as Lagos State’s next governor.
Seyi Tinubu is qualified to lead Lagos State, according to Olawande.
The minister discussed the escalating suspicions about Seyi’s possible 2027 bid for governor of Lagos State during an appearance on the Mic On podcast with Seun Okinbaloye.
He pointed out that prior to his father being president, Seyi was a dedicated person who had a track record of helping the young people.
Olawande said: “He’s not too young to become a governor.
“Seyi is not the one engineering the campaign to become the next governor of Lagos State.”
Seyi has received support from organisations such as the Coalition of Nigerian Youth Leaders (CONYL) to succeed Babajide Sanwo-Olu in 2027.
Mudashiru Obasa was impeached as Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly by its members.
The impeachment of Obasa has been connected to his alleged 2027 governorship ambition.
