Alisha Yesufu, an ADC chieftain, has cautioned the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, not to deputize any presidential candidate in the 2027 election.

In a video that is currently circulating on social media, Aisha, a well-known sociopolitical activist, threatened to work against any presidential ticket that includes Obi as vice president.

According to her, the former Anambra State governor is the greatest candidate and should be handed the presidential nomination.

She said, “I’m giving you people my word. If Peter Obi emerges as a running mate to anyone, I will work against that ticket.

“In my little capacity, I will work against them even if I don’t support any other candidates. Why are we always asking the best to be the second?”

According to the ZINGTIE, Obi, who joined the ADC, a party formed by a coalition of opposition leaders plotting President Bola Tinubu’s removal, is one of the candidates vying for the party’s ticket.

However, there are hints that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar may emerge as the party’s flagbearer, with Obi perhaps serving as his deputy.
