Former state governor Nasir El-rufai has been characterized by the Social Democratic Party’s Kaduna State chapter as a strategic thinker whose influence cannot be disregarded.

The party’s Kaduna State Publicity Secretary, Darius Kurah, stated in an interview with The Sun that El-rufai’s presence typically “unsettles those who fear real change.”

According to him, “El-Rufai is not just a former governor, he’s a strategic thinker and a political heavyweight with national recognition and proven administrative competence.

“His decision to join SDP is a huge boost to our party’s credibility and political capital.

“Naturally, his presence unsettles those who fear real change, because he brings with him a strong support base, national connections, and a bold reformist vision that aligns perfectly with the SDP’s progressive agenda”.

According to ZINGTIE, El-rufai left the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the SDP on March 10.

However, his party membership had caused some controversy among party members.

The former governor was just kicked out of the SDP and is now collaborating with opposition leaders to overthrow the current administration in 2027.
