‘2Face and Annie didn’t manage their marriage well’ – Baba frayo

Veteran singer Baba Fryo has shared his views on the failed marriage between fellow artist 2Face and his former wife, Annie, suggesting that the couple mishandled their relationship.

2Face had earlier announced his separation from Annie in January and later introduced Natasha Osawuru, a legislator from Edo State, as his new partner.

Speaking on a recent episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, Baba Fryo commented that 2Face’s decision to part ways with Annie may have been influenced by what he perceived as her inability to maintain a stable home.

He noted that men generally look for partners who can support and ground them when they are struggling with personal challenges, not partners who also bring similar issues to the table.

Despite this, Baba Fryo was critical of Natasha as well, claiming she isn’t an improvement over Annie. He recalled knowing Natasha since childhood, saying he once carried her as a toddler when she was just three years old.

Baba Fryo said, “2Face and his [ex] wife didn’t manage themselves well. They are both entertainers. Annie is an actress and 2Face is a musician.

“In marriage, when the couple are out, it’s the woman’s duty to watch the man. When the man is drinking, the woman will be watching him, and if he is drinking too much, the woman will calm him. But if you marry a woman who also drinks, when you’re both drunk, who will take the other home?

“When a man sees that, he will become insecure in the marriage. And when he goes out and sees another woman with a different attitude… I’m not saying it’s a good attitude oh, because even 2Face’s current lover, Natasha, she is someone I have known since she was three years old. I carried her on my legs. Her father, Desmond, and I were friends.”
