The Lagos State Chapter of the Ambrose Alli University (AAU) Alumni Association has reaffirmed it’s commitment to advancing the institution’s legacy through active alumni engagement, community service, and support for the university. This pledge was made during the chapter’s election, which saw a new set of executives emerge to lead the association for the next tenure.
The election, supervised by the chapter’s Electoral Committee, was deemed free, fair, and transparent. The newly elected executives include Barr. A.R.T Omuvwie as Chairman, Lady Adesua Ogidi as Vice Chairman, and Andrew Enegbeta as Secretary, among others
The Public Relations Officer, Rufus Alele, stated that the immediate past chairman, Rev. Samuel Okotete, officially handed over to the new leadership in a symbolic ceremony. The new officials were sworn in accordingly.
Comrade Alfred Oloni, Worldwide Assistant Provost and representative of the National Executive Council (NEC), praised the chapter for setting a remarkable example of democratic engagement and alumni unity.
In his acceptance speech, the new Chairman, Omuvwie, expressed gratitude for the trust reposed in him, promising to lead with “openness, commitment, and a renewed spirit of service.
