The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has declared the initiation of sales for Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for its forthcoming ward, local government, state congresses, and national convention.
A public notice from its national headquarters in Abuja, signed by Chinedu Idigo, the party’s National Organizing Secretary, included this information.
The party invited interested members who are seeking elective positions within its structure to acquire the necessary forms in advance of the exercises.
The notice states that the Expression of Interest Form costs N2,000, and that nomination fees differ based on the position being contested.
Chairmanship forms at the ward level are priced at N10,000, secretary positions at N5,000, and other offices at N3,000 each.
Individuals aspiring to local government positions will pay different fees: chairman candidates are charged N40,000, secretary candidates N30,000, and other officials N10,000
The state-level chairmanship is set at N500,000, the secretary position at N300,000, and all other positions at N50,000 each.
Additionally, the party set the nomination fee for national convention delegates at N10,000 for each aspirant, granting each local government area one delegate.
Additionally, ADC mentioned that every aspirant must obtain nominators, each of whom is obligated to pay a non-refundable fee of N500.
Depending on the position, the number of nominators differs; it can be five for certain ward offices and up to 50 for the state chairmanship, with geographical spread requirements in some instances.
“All payments, including Expression of Interest, Nomination, Nominators’ fees, and outstanding membership dues, must be made via bank transfer to the party’s designated account,” the notice stated and noted that a payment receipt is required when collecting the form.
Forms can be acquired from the party’s national secretariat or state offices via designated representatives.
March 27, 2026, was set by the party as the cutoff date for sales and form submissions, with a warning that late submissions will be rejected.
The aspirants’ screening is set to take place from March 30 to March 31, 2026.
