ADC reacts as FCT Senator, Ireti Kingibe formerly joins party

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially welcomed the Senator from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to its ranks.

The senator reportedly joined the ADC on Thursday after acquiring the party’s membership card in Abuja.

In response, ADC Publicity Secretary Bolaji Abdullahi issued a statement on Friday stating that additional defections are expected in the coming days.

The party praised the Senator for her guts in joining the party, claiming that it would have been easy to join the ruling party, but she chose ADC.

The statement reads, “The African Democratic Congress (@ADCNig) warmly welcomes the Senator representing Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory, Senator @IretiKingibe, to the ADC.

“Senator Kingibe’s decision speaks to her courage and integrity at a time when it would have been easier to join the gravy train.

“Nigerians should stay tuned to their political screens. More to follow in the coming days. Na small e remain.”
