AFCON: Troost-Ekong attracting interest from Saudi clubs

Saudi clubs are showing interest in Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong due to his outstanding performance for Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, which is currently taking place on the Ivory Coast.

Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed this in a Friday tweet on his X account.

Troost-Ekong is a Greek Super League player presently with PAOK.

“Nigeria captain William Troost-Ekong caught the attention of clubs in Saudi due to his impressive performances in the AFCON,” Romano tweeted.

“He’s been leading PAOK to top of Greek Super League and Europe Conference League, he’s very happy there — but the Saudi interest for summer is strong.”
