Following his wife’s confession that she lost her womb during an abortion she had prior to their meeting, a 56-year-old Nigerian man is devastated.

A tweet on the social networking site X (previously Twitter) that revealed the announcement is currently trending widely.

The man, who did not disclose his age, said in the anonymous post that the pair has been married for 16 years but has failed to conceive.

He went on to say that after years of doubt, his wife finally told him that she had had an abortion prior to their meeting, which caused her to lose her womb years ago.

He wrote: “After 16 years of marriage without children, my wife has only confessed today that she actually lost her womb during an abortion before I met her. I’m 56 years old now.”
