Olawale Ashimi, better known by his stage name Brymo, is a well-known Nigerian singer who has talked candidly about being caught cheating on his wife.

The musician revealed a personal and contentious story from two years ago in an interview with TVC News, detailing how a furious dispute with his wife resulted in adultery.

Bryon clarified that he decided to check into a guest house after the altercation. He was irritated since his wife was meant to meet him there but never did.

Brymo became enraged and called a sidechick to spend the night with him. As things swiftly got out of hand, Brymo ended up staying the night with the other woman.

But when his wife showed up at the guest home early in the morning and banged on his door, everything changed drastically. It was then that Brymo faced the truth of what he had done.

Two years later, Brymo’s wife questioned him directly about what had happened that evening at a get-together with friends that included fellow artist 2Face Idibia and his wife Annie. Brymo confessed to having an affair since he was under pressure to get caught and couldn’t lie.

In his words: “I had a fight at home, so I had to leave. I went to a guest house, and she was supposed to come meet me there, but she didn’t show up. I was really pissed off, so I called a side chick. Then, around midnight — maybe 3 or 4 a.m. — she showed up at the door, knocking.“

“Two years later, we were sitting at that same spot in the guest house with 2Face, Annie, and the rest of us. My wife was there, and she asked, ‘Two years ago, on that particular day, was there a girl in your room or not?’ I said, ‘That’s why I didn’t open the door — there was someone there.’ I had to confess because, at that point, if I had said there was nobody there, I would have been a liar in public.”
