Alleged threat: Police react to Tiwa Savage’s petition against Davido

Police have stated that they are investigating Tiwa Savage’s petition, a Nigerian singer and songwriter, about claims that Grammy nominee David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, has threatened and harassed her.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Command, said this on Wednesday.

” I can confirm that we received the petition. We have began investigation,” he said.

In a January 9 plea to Mr Adegoke Fayoade, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Tiwa Savage accused Davido of using derogatory language in response to a post that featured both her and the singer’s baby mom, Sophia Momodu, on an Instagram story.

If something terrible happened to her or any family member, she threatened to hold Davido accountable.
