Lucky Nweke Johnson, the member of the Abia State House of Assembly who represents the Isuikwuato constituency, has joined the Labour Party (LP) after leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a letter to Speaker Emmanuel Emeruwa, Johnson claimed that the national and state crises facing the PDP were the reason he left the party.
Moreover, the lawmaker for the Isuikwuato constituency defended his choice to join the LP, stating that Governor Alex Otti’s “sterling performance” had influenced it.
The congressman asked to be referred to be a member of the Labour Party going forward, stating that he made the decision after talking with his constituents.
ZINGTIE recalls that Rowland Dennis, the member for the Isiala Ngwa South seat, left the PDP in February and joined the LP. The PDP chapter in Abia State summarized the development.
