In Sokoto State’s Gada Local Government Area, a large number of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

An important figure in the ADC alliance, Senator Abubakar Gada, formally greeted the new members on Sunday.

According to him, their choice demonstrated how many Nigerians are beginning to doubt the APC government.

Gada claims that the economic hardship and insecurity that the people of Sokoto East and the rest of the nation are experiencing have a negative impact on jobs, farming, and the availability of food.

“Our people are battling serious security threats that have destroyed farming, our main source of income. This has caused poverty, unemployment, and hunger in our communities,” he said.

He went on to say that the rising ADC membership indicates that people are willing to support a party that can address Nigeria’s issues and desire change.

“Many Nigerians are coming to ADC because they believe in our mission to rescue the country. The APC government’s poor performance has forced people to look for hope elsewhere, and ADC is providing that option,” Gada said.
