According to Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), certain events in Nigeria frequently make people wonder if the nation is cursed.

According to ZINGTIE, Adeboye made the statement at the Redemption City, which is located along the Lagos-Ibadan Motorway, at the ongoing annual Holy Ghost Congress with the theme “Onward Christian Soldiers.”

In reference to a comment he made weeks ago during the church’s annual Abuja Special Holy Ghost Service, the clergy disclosed that he nearly went into trouble for speaking the truth.

In response to purported attempts by influential cabals to obstruct the development of private refineries in Nigeria, Pastor Adeboye had exhorted Nigerians to pray for divine intervention.

He blasted Nigeria for squandering billions of naira on the four refineries without any result.

In his words: “I said something during the Abuja Holy Ghost Service which I am not going to repeat because I nearly got into trouble because of telling the truth. Certain things happened, at least in my nation Nigeria, that force you to wonder: Are we under a curse? There are nations that didn’t have all the resources we have, and yet, they seem to be doing better than we are doing. Hmmmm, let me leave that out.”
