The legendary Argentine player Gabriel Batistuta has identified the three best strikers in the world currently.
During an appearance on the YouTube channel Rio Ferdinand Presents, Batistuta was asked to identify the best striker in the world.
Batistuta, however, acknowledged the difficulty of the question by naming Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe, Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez, and Manchester City’s Erling Haaland as his three best strikers instead, noting that they score in every match.
“Very tough. I could say (Kylian) Mbappe, but I could say Lautaro Martinez, I could say Haaland. They just score every match,” Batistuta said.
“Haaland surprised me because he’s always in the right position, and if you give him three balls, he will score a fourth. You see him, he looks slow, looks like (not interested) and then boom”.
Before Lionel Messi, an Inter Miami forward, exceeded his record in 2016, Batistuta held the title of Argentina’s all-time leading goalscorer with 56 goals in 78 matches.
The 57-year-old retired in 2005 after winning his sole Serie A title with Roma during the 2000-01 season.
