Atiku meets IBB, Abdulsalami Abubakar [PHOTOS]

On Wednesday, Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) 2023 presidential contender, paid a visit to Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, the former military head of state.

Atiku also paid a visit to Abdulsalami Abubakar, another former military leader.

The former vice president had a meeting with the past leaders of Nigeria at each of their homes in Minna, Niger State.

Posting on X, Atiku wrote: “Today, I paid Sallah homage to former Heads of State Gen. Ibrahim Babangida (rtd) and Gen. Abdusalami at their residences in Minna, Niger State.”

The gathering coincides with rumours that Atiku is getting ready to lay the groundwork for the 2027 presidential contest.

Atiku had promised in May to keep running for president for as long as he is well.

In the midst of his efforts to unite with his counterpart Peter Obi from the Labour Party, LP, and other political groups, he made the remark.
