Allen Onyema, the chief executive officer of Air Peace, has urged the federal government to help remove a number of accusations against aviation industry participants.

Speaking to state house reporters following a meeting with Vice-President Kashim Shettima at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Tuesday, Onyema made this plea.

He said he was confident the current administration would pay attention to the aspirations of the stakeholders.

“Aviation all over the world has been a turbulent arena after the COVID-19 pandemic because of the supply chain issues.

“This is not peculiar to Nigeria, but the Nigerian government is listening to us and making sure the ease of doing business in the sector is back.

“We are here to also thank the government because they have been giving us listening ears and we want more of that to make sure all those numerous charges we face are removed, and we have every confidence that the government will do something about it.

“I have just had a session with the Vice-President and everything he said is that the government is actually promoting the ease of doing business,” he said.
