Ballon d’Or organizers clear air on giving Rodri award instead of Vinicius Jr

The Ballon d’Or award’s organisers, France Football, have denied in a statement that any player or team is aware of this year’s winner.

This comes after a lot of social media conjecture that Vinicius Junior (Real Madrid) will lose to Rodri (Manchester City).

Most people thought Vinicius would win and take it home before Rodri.

Due to this development, it is now thought that Real Madrid representatives will not attend Monday’s evening function.

“No player and no club knows the winner of this year’s Ballon d’Or yet,” the organisers emphasised in a statement.

At 8 p.m., the ceremony to announce this year’s winner will start.
