According to former France striker Karim Benzema, Real Madrid is the greatest team in the world.
This is what Benzema said in an interview with Marca.
The 37-year-old, who now plays for Al-Ittihad, spent 14 years with Real Madrid.
Benzema earned five Champions League trophies, four La Liga titles, and one Ballon d’Or in 2022 over that time.
In 648 games in all competitions, Benzema has 354 goals and 165 assists, making him Real Madrid’s second-leading scorer of all time.
“I’m sure this year it will be proven again that Real Madrid is the best club in the world,” he said.
“They can win big titles once again.”
Benzema was also spoken about the possibility of a return to the Bernabeu before hanging his boot.
He said: “Why not? At the moment I’m in Jeddah and doing well.
“The time will come to see how life is and I’m sure I will be close to Madrid again.”
