According to Jesutega Onokpasa, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), he previously advocated for the assassination of Simon Ekpa, the self-declared prime minister of the Biafran Republic Government in Exile.

According to Onokpasa, everyone who engages in combat with the enemy runs the risk of being slain.

According to ZINGTIE, Ekpa was detained in Finland on suspicion of engaging in terrorist-related activities.

In a statement posted on its website Thursday, Finland’s Central Criminal Police confirmed his arrest and said that four others had been arrested on suspicion of terrorist-related offences.

Speaking on Friday’s episode of Arise Television, Onokpasa, a lawyer as well, claimed that Ekpa was a deranged, uneducated man who had murdered his fellow Igbos.

He said: “The case of Simon Ekpa, his arrest is long overdue. In fact, I had even…, well, this is classified, I had actually even encouraged that he should be shot because he was killing his fellow Igbos.

“If the person is an enemy combatant, he is liable to be shot. I know the law. This is just an intelligence stuff. He is just a crazy, poorly educated young.

“In that case I am in full support of his arrest.”
