Nigerian forward Victor Boniface has agreed to a fresh one-year deal with Bayer Leverkusen, a Bundesliga team.

The current term of Boniface’s contract with Die Werkself is 2029.

At Leverkusen, the 24-year-old is currently among the highest paid players.

The Bundesliga winners do not believe the forward is unsellable, even though they have extended his contract.

Leverkusen will require potential suitors to contribute at least €50 million.

Saudi Arabian clubs are keeping an eye on the Nigerian.

Recalling in 2023, Boniface moved from Union Saint-Gillloise of the Belgian Pro League to Xabi Alonso’s team.

In his first season with the team, he won the Bundesliga title and DFB Pokal.
