The Federal High Court’s Justice James Omotosho has set November 20 as the date for the federal government’s terrorism prosecution of Biafra nation agitator Nnamdi Kanu.
Following Kanu’s direct refusal to begin his defense, as he had repeatedly stated, the judge set the date for Friday.
Kanu had earlier filed a motion on Friday contesting his trial on the grounds that terrorism was no longer illegal in Nigeria.
He asserted that there are no legitimate allegations against him because the previous Terrorism Prevention and Prohibition Act was removed.
Details will come later.
