BREAKING: Outcome as organised Labour suspends strike

The nationwide strike has been suspended by the Trade Union Congress (TUC) and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).

This will allow the tripartite committee on the new national minimum wage to meet uninterrupted.

TUC chairman Festus Osifo reaffirmed this on Tuesday.

ZINGTIE has previously reported that labour leaders met with George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), and other government representatives on Monday. During the discussion, a resolution stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was committed to implementing a new minimum salary above N60,000.
