Mudashiru Obasa, the speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, has been impeached.

The lawmakers are accused Obasa with numerous financial and legal violations.

According to report, lawmakers placed his deputy Lasbat Meranda to succeed Obasa.

Meranda, the representative for Apapa Constituency 1, was the House’s chief whip before that.
