BREAKING: World War II bomb discovered

On Friday, an unexploded World War II bomb was discovered in Paris, causing major disruptions.

The discovery led to halted train services to and from London, with other trains traveling north from France’s largest city also being stopped.

The bomb was found in the Saint-Denis suburb, near tracks leading into the Gare du Nord, a key Paris station serving northern France and Europe.

Train traffic, including high-speed and commuter lines, was suspended for several hours while Paris police deployed mine-sweeping teams to safely remove the bomb.

France’s national railway operator, SNCF, confirmed the incident in a statement on Friday, explaining that the halt was made at the request of law enforcement.

French Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot also noted that the disruption would last throughout the day.

He added that only limited train services would resume in the afternoon, advising travelers to delay their journeys.
