CAF Awards 2024: Lookman makes final shortlist for Men’s Player of the Year

The final CAF Men’s Player of the Year nominees include Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman.

The Atalanta star has never before made it to the final shortlist.

Lookman had a stellar season for his country and club.

During the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire, the 27-year-old made seven appearances for the Super Eagles, recording three goals and one assist.

In the UEFA Europa League final, the winger also scored a remarkable hat-trick for Atalanta.

Lookman has made 18 appearances for La Dea this season in all competitions, tallying 11 goals and five assists.

For the coveted prize, he will compete against Ronwen Williams, Achraf Hakimi, Serhou Guirassy, and Simon Adingra.
