Kylian Mbappe could feature for Real Madrid in their Club World Cup last-16 match against Juventus on Tuesday, according to manager Xabi Alonso.
The forward, who is 26, was sidelined for all three of Madrid’s group-stage games due to acute gastroenteritis, which he contracted shortly before the tournament began.
“We will talk to him in the morning to make the final decision,” Alonso told reporters.
“It’s a big possibility that he makes his Club World Cup debut tomorrow, though.
“I don’t know how much, but it’s a big possibility.”
The manager also confirmed that defenders Éder Militão and Dani Carvajal are available for selection.
So far in the competition, Real Madrid have recorded two wins and one draw.
