Coalition confused with choice of Atiku, Obi – Wike’s aide

Lere Olayinka, the Federal Capital Territory’s (FCT) Minister’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication and New Media, disparaged the eagerly awaited opposition coalition on Saturday.

The opposition coalition, according to Olayinka, is perplexed.

He clarified that the coalition was perplexed if Peter Obi was chosen as the running mate and Atiku Abubakar, the previous presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, was chosen as the party’s flag bearer.

Olayinka posted something that can be interpreted as a mockery against X: “Confused Coalition: Atiku as presidential candidate. Any Obi (even if na Obioma or Obiageli) as running mate. Issorite.”

The opposition coalition is being formed under the leadership of Atiku, Obi, Nasir El-Rufai, and the former governor of Kaduna State.

The three met Tuesday evening with other coalition stakeholders to make important choices.

El-Rufai confirmed the meeting and stated that in 2027, the coalition will bring President Bola Tinubu back to Lagos State.

There are signs that the coalition is looking for a political party to join in the interim.

The coalition’s adoption of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, is currently causing confusion.
