Wiz Khalifa, a well-known American rapper, has given an explanation for his belief that a person should date for at least ten years before getting married.

The father of two believes that before a couple pops the question, they should date for at least ten years to get to know each other and their families better.

During a recent Club Shay Shay podcast episode, Wiz stated, “People should date for 10 years before getting married because that’s long enough to know the person, their family, and who you’re going to deal with when you move in together.”

When asked if couples should live together prior to marriage or wait till after they are married, the 37-year-old responded, “It depends on the situation and the circumstances. Some people move in right away and still need time to figure it out.”
