Nigerian Afrobeat artist Davido has finally addressed the situation after a video showing him being struck on the head caused a stir online.

The event happened after his performance at a wedding in Warri, Delta State, and many fans thought it was an assault.

Following his show, Davido reportedly visited a well-known nightclub in Warri.

The viral footage shows the singer leaving the club when a man in the crowd slapped him on the head.

Responding to the issue, Davido explained on X that it was actually his security team member who accidentally hit him while trying to shield him from an overly enthusiastic fan.

The artist reassured everyone it was not an attack, stating, “That was my security. Hit me by mistake.”
