According to human rights attorney Deji Adeyanju, former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi cannot become president of Nigeria because it is too late.

Adeyanju stated in a post on his Facebook page that the former governor cannot serve as president of Nigeria, even if Obi’s followers, known as Obidients, alter their tactics.

Adeyanju believes that Atiku Abubakar, the former vice president and one of the opposition leaders planning to overthrow President Bola Tinubu in 2027, has a greater chance than Obi.

He wrote, “Even if Obidients change strategy and become born again; stop political extremism and insulting people online, their candidate cannot be president of Nigeria. It’s too late already.

“Even Atiku has a better chance at the presidency than Obi. That’s how bad his chances are.”

According to ZINGTIE, Obi, who ran for the country’s top post in 2023 on the Labour Party’s platform, is currently considering running for office again in 2027.

Despite criticism from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, he has gained more fans as a result of his recent partnership with other opposition politicians.
