A shocking incident unfolded in Mnare when a sex worker seized a coffin from a hardware store as compensation for a US$5 debt.

The dramatic confrontation involved a man named King Joshua, who allegedly posed as the manager of Ozei Hardware and lured the sex worker into the store.

King Joshua reportedly engaged in a transaction with the woman but failed to pay the agreed-upon amount, prompting her to take drastic action.

In retaliation, the sex worker took a US$60 coffin from the store and walked away, sparking a commotion that drew a large crowd.

Night-duty security guards recorded the incident, and the footage quickly spread on social media.

Ozei, the legitimate owner of the hardware store, expressed shock and outrage over the incident, accusing King Joshua of repeatedly bringing women into the store under false pretenses.

“I was phoned by the police at around 11 PM, asking who was at my hardware shop,” Ozei told H-Metro.“Joshua had been hooking up ladies of the night and bringing them into my hardware shop, all behind my back. I now suspect one of the coffins I lost last year may have disappeared the same way.”

Commenting on the woman’s actions, he remarked, “That woman must be crazy to carry a coffin just because of five dollars.”
