Edwin Clark attacks former President Buhari

Edwin Clark, a leader of the South-South, has attacked the eight years that former President Muhammadu Buhari governed Nigeria.

The statesman denounced the Buhari-led administration, calling it uncivil, unfair, biased, and filled with religious prejudice.

During the public launch of Femi Adesina’s book, “Working with Buhari: Reflections of A Special Adviser, Media, and Publicity (2015–2023),” Clark expressed his opinions in response to Buhari’s self-praise.

Despite Buhari’s positive evaluation of his presidency, Clark contended that the majority of Nigerians saw his time as a failure.

According to him, “Buhari’s administration led the country backward by five decades, the prevalent issues of insecurity, economic collapse, injustice, religious bias, and a lack of direction.”

Clark explained the discrepancy between Buhari’s declaration in his inaugural speech that he “belongs to everybody” and the actions of his administration throughout his eight-year regime in the country.

He said that the idea that Buhari represented the entire country was refuted by the fact that most of his appointments, particularly in the security area, were made primarily on the basis of one region.

Clark emphasized, “He belongs to some people but not the entire Nigeria,” challenging the authenticity of Buhari’s claim of being a leader for all.
