Liverpool boss Arne Slot has pointed out three Premier League sides he believes play with greater intensity than his own squad.
The Reds will kick off their new campaign against Bournemouth this Friday.
Speaking ahead of the game at Anfield, Slot praised Andoni Iraola’s side, describing them as one of the most difficult opponents to face.
Bournemouth secured a ninth-place finish in the Premier League last season, and Slot remarked that they are “probably the most intense team in the league” – ranking them above Newcastle United and Arsenal, who he placed second and third respectively.
He told reporters: “Bournemouth were probably [the] most intense team in the league [last season], for running.
“Then Newcastle and Arsenal, which sums up this league. Bournemouth are intense.”
