Joao Felix, the Chelsea forward, has requested to leave Stamford Bridge before the transfer deadline.

Felix is reportedly trying to leave Chelsea before the January transfer window closes because he is fed up with his lack of playing time at the Premier League west London club, according to The Transfers Podcast.

Following Felix’s decision, the Blues are now considering potential remedies, the article continued.

Last summer, Chelsea made the decision to permanently sign the Portugal international from Atletico Madrid.

Since signing a seven-year contract with Chelsea, Felix has had difficulties.

Under manager Enzo Maresca, the former Barcelona star has had difficulty obtaining consistent playing time.

This season, the 25-year-old has only started three Premier League games for Chelsea.

In Maresca’s squad, Felix is the driving force behind players like Nicolas Jackson, Noni Madueke, Christopher Nkunku, and Neto.

He has been linked to a move to Aston Villa, Chelsea’s Premier League opponent.
