Arsenal kept their Premier League title hopes alive with a 2-0 victory over Leicester City.
Gunners manager, Mikel Arteta, opted for a lineup without a recognized striker due to Kai Havertz’s hamstring injury earlier in the week.
Havertz is set to miss the remainder of the season.
Raheem Sterling, Leandro Trossard, and Ethan Nwaneri led Arsenal’s attack but were unable to create sufficient opportunities to score.
In the second half, Arteta brought on Mikel Merino to play as a false nine while pushing for a late goal.
Merino first headed in Nwaneri’s cross before tapping in a pass from Trossard on the left.
The win moves Arsenal to 53 points, four behind leaders Liverpool, who are set to face Wolves at Anfield on Sunday.
