After killing innocent residents in South-East under the pretence of Biafra agitation, there are strong indications that Dr. Ngozi Orabueze, the new prime minister of the Biafra government in exile, may face charges of mass murder in the United States.
Less than a month after being imprisoned by the Finnish government for terror-related acts, Dr. Orabueze, the chief of staff of Simon Ekpa, the self-proclaimed prime minister of the Biafra government in exile, overthrew his principal.
Ekpa, the commander of the Autopilot, a splinter group of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), was arrested in November along with four other people who were thought to be his funders, according to NewsBand.
Furthermore, Ngozi has persisted in inciting and escalating insecurity in the South-East region since succeeding Ekpa as leader.
She was recently captured on camera threatening to kill everyone in the South-East who was dressed in an army, police, immigration, or civil defence gear.
The IPOB-Political Wing has officially filed a petition against Dr. Orabueze with the US Department of Justice, despite numerous requests and pleas from political stakeholders and intellectual leaders in the troubled area for Orabueze and his supporters to stop their violent Biafra campaigns and their flagrant disregard for sage advice.
This report viewed a devastating petition that demanded that the US Department of Justice detain and charge Dr. Orabueze, a practicing nurse in the United States with mass murder.
In the plea, IPOB-Political Wing claimed that Ngozi’s war declarations and deeds had killed civilians and security personnel, disrupted schooling, and destroyed businesses in the southeast region of Nigeria.
However, IPW spokesperson Nwachukwu Emereonye stated in an exclusive interview with NewsBand regarding the petition that the organisation is taking proactive measures to guarantee that all forms of terror and instability are eliminated in the South-East.
According to Nwachukwu, the group petitioned the US Department of Justice to stop Orabueze.
He claims that the petition from the IPOB-Political Wing made it clear that the region’s peace is being jeopardised by the accused figure’s provocation.
The IPOB-PW image maker went on to say that they are confident the US Department of Justice would take action on their petition and prosecute people who encourage others to kill and destabilise Igbo territory.
He said, “In order to ensure that peace is restored to Ala Igbo, we are making the necessary steps, which we deem proactive to ensure all forms of insecurity and terror are eradicated.
“We plan to restore political pathway and belief, where through the ballot box, we can peacefully aspire and make the change our people yearn for.
“We have seen killings and all forms of terrorist activities in our land. We have resolved to end it, and we have started with the actors.
“We have written a letter to the United States department of justice against Orabueze, who has taken over from Simon Ekpa. We have clearly stated in the letter that incitement from the implicated figure is costing us peace and law.
“We need to stop all forms of incitement. We want Biafra but not through shedding innocent blood and killings. We don’t want it anymore. We are civilised and we hope to go through this with common sense.
“We wish the US department of justice will act upon our letter and bring those inciting others to kill and destabilize our land to justice.”
