Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, the governor of Kano State, has expressed his profound sadness over the untimely death of his recently appointed Special Adviser on Works, Engr. Ahmad Ishaq Bunkure, who died in Egypt on Wednesday, one day after being sworn in.

Governor Yusuf remarked about the late Engineer in a sympathy statement issued on Wednesday by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

Bunkure was seen as a committed professional whose input was anticipated to be crucial to the development goal of his government.

“This is a heartbreaking moment for us as a government,” the governor said.

“Engr. Bunkure was a man of immense talent and professionalism. His expertise was vital to our vision for transforming Kano State’s infrastructure. His loss is an irreplaceable tragedy, not only to his family but also to the entire Kano political and professional community.”

In addition to offering his sincere condolences to the family and pleading with them to take comfort in the legacy of integrity and dedication left by Engr. Bunkure, Governor Yusuf prayed for Allah’s mercy on the deceased.

“He will be remembered as a man of principle and an exemplary public servant,” the governor added.

Members of the Kano State Government and His Excellency Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso have also expressed their condolences.

Remember that many were shocked by the death of Engr. Ahmad Ishaq Bunkure, who had only been appointed as Special Adviser on Works.
