FIFA approved temporary transfer regulations on Thursday, enabling players to switch teams and compete in the June–July Club World Cup in the United States.
Players whose contracts expire on June 30, 2025, will be able to sign with one of the 32 teams as free agents ahead of schedule thanks to this measure.
Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, and PSG are some of these teams.
The FIFA transfer modifications would allow players to play for a new team for two weeks starting in mid-June before their official contract expires, provided arrangements are agreed upon by clubs.
This is due to the fact that the tournament is still officially a part of the current season.
However, throughout the competition, which will take place in 12 stadiums, players will not be permitted to represent two separate clubs.
