According to local media, a shooting at a secondary school in the Austrian city of Graz has left at least five people dead and numerous others gravely wounded.

According to local authorities, the victims include both instructors and pupils, according to Austria’s national broadcaster ORF. A school on Dreierschuetzengasse, a street in the city’s central quarter, was the site of the attack.

Although they refused to elaborate, local police acknowledged that a significant operation was taking place at the location.

While emergency personnel deal with the incident, authorities are currently evacuating the premises.

Whether the alleged shooter is one of the victims is still unknown. The perpetrator’s identify and motivation have not yet been made public.
