Gov Otu discloses the plan of APC for Anambra

The national ruling party may win the next governorship election, according to Cross River State Governor Bassey Otu, who is the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election committee for the Anambra State governorship primaries.

Dr. Charles Soludo is the current governor of Anambra State, which is governed by the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.

Yesterday, Otu spoke to the 1,630 APC delegates in Awka, the state capital, who had assembled at the Dora Akunyili hall to choose the party’s candidate for the governorship election scheduled for November 8.

Governor Otu urged all party members to support the winner of the party primaries in order to contribute to the party’s eventual triumph.

Otu asserted that it is feasible to win and win Anambra State over to the APC.

“Our party, APC, is already governing two states in the Southeast, and getting a third state will be very good. It is very possible to win over Anambra State.

“It would be a significant gain for the people because it is time to align with the government at the center.

“Anambra is the heart of the Southeastern states. We’ve to bring out a candidate that will win the main election and connect Anambra, which is the heart of the Southeast, to the center. Winning the state for the APC as the number three will be very good,” he said.

According to Governor Otu, pre-primary election talks with all of the candidates were held the night before, and everyone agreed that the process would be transparent and that the winner would have the backing of others.

As the party enters the main election, he reaffirmed the need of unity and unity of purpose.
