How a staff of FMC jumped into well and got drowned in Ogun

In the Obantoko area of Abeokuta, Ogun State, Adeniyi Oluwaseun, the Acting Head of the Audit Department of the Federal Medical Centre, FMC, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, committed suicide by jumping into a well.

According to ZINGTIE, the event occurred on Sunday night, just after Adeniyi finished his dinner.

ZINGTIE discovered that the deceased had been dealing with mental health issues and had previously received treatment, even though the cause of his action is still unknown.

His body was later discovered to have been recovered from the well and placed in a mortuary.

Confirming the occurrence, on Tuesday, the Head of Public Relations and Communication Unit at FMC Abeokuta, Segun Orisajo, described the late Adeniyi as a dedicated and loyal staff member whose abrupt demise came as a shock to everyone at the facility.

He said “It is true that he committed suicide. It was an unfortunate incident. The management feels saddened about this development.

“The unfortunate incident caught the entire management off guard. It is a quiet and irreparable loss.The management extends its heartfelt condolences to the department, as well as to the immediate and extended family members of the deceased”.
