How I financed Abia with my money as governor – Orji Kalu

On Monday, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu revealed that he used his own funds to administer Abia State.

When answering questions on Channels TV’s Politics Today program on Monday, Kalu made this statement.

According to the former governor, he never gained anything from his position.

Rather, he claimed he lost a lot of money and revealed that several of his enterprises were taken over by the federal government under former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

Kalu said: “I spend my own money being governor, like I’m spending my money today being senator. I used to finance the state. That is, I never benefited anything from being governor. Rather, I lost a lot of money. The federal government took a lot of my businesses. So for me, politics had been more dangerous under the Obasanjo federal government at the time.”
