How Ondo monarch died 11 months after ascending throne

Julius Omomo, the 83-year-old Olojoda of the Oda kingdom in Ondo State’s Akure South Local Government Area, has died.

On Sunday, Ade Adelakun, a family source, verified the monarch’s death.

ZINGTIE recalls that Oba Omomo was crowned in May of last year following the demise of the previous traditional monarch, who died following a brief illness.

Adelakun characterized the deceased monarch as a modest, decent, and grounded man.

“The late monarch cared for his subjects as well as the unity and progress of the state,” he said.

According to him, the deceased monarch’s reign was extraordinarily exciting.
