Yinka Theisan, the former wife of Nollywood actor Linc Edochie, has opened up about her relationship with May Edochie and the circumstances that led to the breakdown of her marriage.

During an interview with Uche Maduagwu, Yinka explained that her relationship with May began after she assisted Linc son of veteran actor Pete Edochie in recovering his hacked Instagram account, an effort Linc acknowledged in a social media post.

Following this, May, who was experiencing similar online issues, contacted Yinka through Linc to seek help. Yinka said she offered her support to the best of her ability.

However, the situation escalated when Yinka liked a social media post shared by Judy Austin, the current partner of Yul Edochie, which featured her child. According to Yinka, the action was not intended to stir controversy but stemmed from her decision to stay out of the personal dispute between Yul’s estranged wife, May, and Judy.

The gesture was not well received by May Edochie’s supporters, known as “May Nation,” who began targeting Yinka with online criticism.

Reacting to the backlash, Yinka admitted to releasing May’s phone number publicly, an act that quickly gained media attention and, according to her, led Linc to end their marriage.

Yinka also clarified that she has never had direct communication with either Yul Edochie or Judy Austin and only engaged with their content online in a neutral manner.

She said, “When Linc’s Instagram account was hacked, I was the one who retrieved it, so he posted about it, that a friend helped him recover his account. I was that friend. May saw the post and requested my number because she had issues with hacking, and I helped her to the best of my ability.

“So now all this started when I liked Judy’s baby’s picture. I have never spoken to Yul or Judy in my entire life. So all I did was decide I was going to be neutral from now on. I do not want to hate or point fingers, so I wrote stuff, and some people attacked me.”
